The QOpenOCCI project now has a website at http://qopenocci.sourceforge.net/. The site also includes links to documentation, downloads and mailing lists. This site will be used for all project related public infomation. So, if you need a Qt Oracle plugin for the free or open editions of the Qt toolkit take a look.
For whatever reason, Trolltech decided not to release their Oracle SQL plugin for the Open or Free edition Qt 4, but now there exists an alternative. QOpenOCCI is both free and opensource with plenty of features. The plugin has support for most of Oracle's built-in datatypes including NUMBERs, BLOBs, DATEs, TIMESTAMPs, CHARs, and VARCHAR2s, as well as caching and input binding. The library is built on Oracle's Instant Client OCCI (C++) libraries to provide solid performance across Linux and Windows.
The project is still in the alpha stages and is looking for testers. Currently only source code is available but binary builds for Windows and Linux should be released soon.
